| TEAM Benjamin B. Olshin, Ph.D. Director, S2R Specialized Research + Reports. Dr. Olshin works with a team of associates and researchers based primarily in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Asia. Benjamin B. Olshin, Ph.D., is the founder and director of S2R Specialized Research + Reports, a consultancy working in the areas of international research, expert presentations and workshops, and customized consulting services. The firm consults with businesses and institutions on global affairs, cross-cultural communication, and creativity and innovation. Clients have included the Intel Corporation, Hewlett-Packard, and the National Science Foundation. Dr. Olshin possesses extensive experience in research, education, and training. He has consulted in a variety of areas, including international geopolitics, cultural issues in management, and innovation in industry. Global in focus, Dr. Olshin has been involved in projects in Sri Lanka, Italy, Portugal, Brazil, Canada, Turkey, Ghana, Japan, Taiwan, Switzerland, and the U.S. in the fields of design, development and sustainability, and communications. He has written a number of papers concerning cross-cultural design, the sociology of science and technology, and other topics, which have appeared in journals in the U.S., Latin America, and West Africa. Dr. Olshin has delivered numerous presentations and workshops in geopolitical issues, cross-cultural management, and creative strategy in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Dr. Olshin has been quoted on cross-cultural issues, as well as creativity and innovation, on the radio, in print media, and on the web, including The Philadelphia Inquirer, Saudi Aramco World Magazine, The World and I, Arts and Culture Advocate, Asian Public Radio, and elsewhere. He is also editor of HinterNet, an online blog and journal devoted to cross-cultural ideas and insights. Dr. Olshin has been both a Fulbright scholar in Europe, and a recipient of two NEH grants, one in West Africa and one at the prestigious East-West Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. During the course of his career, he has developed facility in French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Chinese (Mandarin), and Japanese. He completed his M.A. and Ph.D. at the Institute for the History and Philosophy of Science and Technology at the University of Toronto in Canada, and holds a B.A. from Williams College.
